1978-2008: Significant Milestones

October 1978 Authentik en français founded as a research project in the School of Education, Trinity College, Dublin.
October 1983 Authentik auf Deutsch. Authentik sonore – broadcasts from French-language radio. First Learners’ Supplement.
January 1984 Authentik en Español; Authentik Tonband, and Authentik Oido. CILT begins to promote Autentik products in Britain
September 1984 Authentik in Italiano and Authentik as Gaeilge (both discontinued from June 1986)
March 1987 Authentik Language Learning Resources Ltd established as a campus company of Trinity College, Dublin.
September 1991 First books for teachers and researchers edited by Professor David Little: Language acquisition and learning series; Learner Autonomy series.
September 1994 Intermediate products launched: Etincelle, Katapult, La Cometa.
September l998 Authentik awarded the European Language Label.
November 1999 Photocopiable books for examination practice launched.
September 2001 Authentik Digital launched.
September 2003 European Language Portfolio for Irish second level students of languages.
October 2005 Meta, a course book for senior cycle students of Spanish.
September 2007 “…à la française”, a cross-curricular resource book for Primary French.
