It is with great regret that we have to inform you that Authentik will be going into liquidation. Throughout the recession we have put forward all our efforts to survive despite cuts in spending to education, despite reduced numbers taking languages and despite huge challenges in the publication sector. Unfortunately, these efforts have not been enough and we will be closing the doors on Authentik Language Learning Resources Ltd.
We were unfortunately not able to complete the production of our Summer 2013 editions. We know that this means that some of you will not have received your full subscriptions for this year and we apologise for all the inconvenience this will cause. In lieu of the publications, we are providing all customers with free Digital Exam Practice Books to download here:
AS/A2 Digital Listening Practice Tests 2009
AS/A2 Digital Reading Practice Tests 2009
GCSE Digital Listening Practice Tests 2009
We hope that your classes will find the Exam Practice Books a useful resource for the summer term.
We hope that you have enjoyed using our language products during the past 32 years and we wish to thank you for your custom and your support over the years. We have been very proud of our products and of the wonderful team of editors and designers who have produced them and it is with great regret that we have to stop production of these resources for language teachers and learners.
We wish you every success and happiness in the future!
The Authentik Team
Are you bored with standard language learning textbooks? Do you wish you had more up-to-date content to practice with and improve your language skills? Authentik Language Interactive is a subscription website that will satisfy that need.
Exciting video content featuring the worlds newsmakers, stars and personalities, brought to you weekly by Authentik and AFP, the premier global news agency. Follow the Oscars en español, the European Cup auf Deutsch, the Euro crisis en français, or watch some quirky news items in English.
Explore our vast archive of videos, articles and interactive graphics.
Listen to voices from France, Germany, Spain, England, US, but also from all the countries where the languages are spoken; hear the Spanish of Latin America, the French of Canada, the German of Switzerland, the English of India or South Africa.
Interact with real news stories using all your language skills. Get the general picture by watching the video with or without subtitles in the original language, take more time to process the information by listening to a slower version as you read the story, learn how words are used as you drag and drop them into their right place, understand better by putting jumbled sections of stories back together, test yourself with the quiz. All of this using the latest web technologies to make learning fun.
Each text is tagged for difficulty and learning value. Authentik Language Interactive tracks your progress on the different games and quizzes. You can then see your progress with interactive graphs of your results in each activity. Teachers also can monitor how their students are doing, as a group and as individuals.
