The Company
Authentik is a campus company of Ireland's oldest University, Trinity College, Dublin which was founded as a result of extensive
groundbreaking research into the benefits of using authentic materials for language learning. For over 25 years our experienced
editors, practising teachers and native speakers, backed by the research of Trinity College, Dublin, have been publishing
materials of the highest quality in French, German, Spanish, English and Italian.

We provide language learners with magazines, cassettes, CDs, photocopiable exam practice books, teacher development books
and digital products. Our association with Trinity College, Dublin also ensures that all our material is produced to the highest
pedagogical standard. We are proud to say that Authentik was one of the first recipients of The European Label for Innovative
Language Teaching and Learning.

Authentik's Philosophy
Research has shown that learners learn best when they are interested. This is why all our magazines, exam books and audio
programmes are based on real, up-to-date issues whichare sure to motivate learners. We believe that exposure to real language
is essential in order to develop the ability to use a second or third language. Therefore, we do not simplify or alter the authentik
extracts. Learners get a chance to study language that people actually speak and write. Using Authentik resources is the next
best thing to being in the target language country!
